I've contemplated what my first blog post would be about for months.
So, Here we are... I've decided to just do it, post whats on my mind. From now on my will be a place for me to mind dump. :)
Let's rewind time to 2004, I had just given birth to my first son. I lost the baby weight relatively quickly with breastfeeding and kept it off. That is until I got pregnant and had my second child in 2006. With my second pregnancy I gained 40+ lbs, was unhealthy and unhappy. I tried so hard to enjoy my boys being little but felt overwhelmed and discouraged with my life. "Is this as good as it gets?", "Is this all there is?" were common questions, I silently asked myself.I had two healthy beautiful boys what more could I want?
Fast forward one year and I gave birth to my daughter in November of 2007.
Three kids later about 60 pounds heavier, depressed, and searching of answers I found P90X.
The program was suggested to me by a very good friend who could see I was ready for a change.
I purchase P90X off eBay (eek I know what was I doing), and started the program in December of 2009.
I love Tony Horton and the workouts. I appreciated his dry humor and the effectiveness of the workouts. The program rotates through workouts and the program is based on the principle of muscle confusion.
In 2010 I left my unhappy marriage and moved back Pittsburgh, Pa where I had grown up. I got a U-Haul, packed up the kids and moved 2 1/2 hours to Pittsburgh. Slowly over the next 4 years I would try to stay consistent with going to the gym and by starting and restarting P90X . My weight was almost up to 200 lbs and I knew it was time for a change. I went onto FB looking for inspiration, and boy did I find it!! I found my Beachbody coach; a mom like me who had lost weight and was keeping it off.
Say what?
She kept exercising and living a healthy lifestyle.
Yes please! Sign me up!
So I joined one of her challenge groups for support, motivation, and accountability! I loved it!
In 2014, I signed up to be a discount coach for just that, the discount. She added me to her team page and I loved the accountability and friendships that were present in her team.
I wanted that...to help people stay on track and build a business to help their families!
Then I let "friends" discourage me by saying, "Beachbody is a cult" and "I don't want to drink my food." Just to quote a few. I didn't exercise and I let others judgment and opinions keep me from something that I really wanted to do!
Crazy right?!
So in June 2015, I recommitted to my health and my fitness journey, and loved the opportunity to help others.
Here I am 5 month later committing to the Shaun T program T25 and loving every minute of it.
So what does this mean for you?
I want you to join me on my journey and have access to trainers, message boards, and an online surplus of coaches on our team for information and insight.
Or you can watch from the sidelines and wish your body would change.
What I've learned in last 5 years is that nothing changes unless you change.
Waiting until the New Year won't get you any closer to your goals for next summer. So as you sit here and read this I want to encourage you to think about where you want to be next summer, do you have a goal outfit, or is something as simple as fitting into shorts comfortably? Whatever goals you have they are worthy of your time and attention.
We can do it together!
Message me for more information about a fitness program and how to get involved in one of my private challenge groups!
OR
How to join my team and work on yourself while getting a discount and helping others!
Hope you all are having a great day and remember ,"the only workout you ever regret is the one you didn't do!"
FIT-tasticly yours,
Chris
